Role overview
Oversees and coordinates safe, efficient lifting and rigging operations, including in construction, manufacturing, and oil and gas settings.
Responsibilities
- Plan safe lifting procedures and prepare and implement lifting plans.
- Oversee riggers and overhead crane operators while ensuring employee safety.
- Conduct daily audits of lifting devices.
- Attend toolbox talks and pre-start meetings as a supervisor.
- Complete assigned projects in line with client expectations, company objectives, and contractual documentation.
- Notify field engineers or supervisors of lifting staging requirements at least two days ahead.
- Coordinate lists of required lifting gear and tools with field engineers.
- Visit sites in advance to confirm crane parking space and assess the area for smooth lifting operations.
Requirements
- Ability to plan and coordinate safe lifting and rigging operations.
- Ability to oversee riggers and overhead crane operators while ensuring employee safety.
- Ability to assess site conditions and coordinate lifting equipment and staging requirements.
