About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all lifting and rigging activities at site as per approved lifting plans and safety standards.
- Ensure cranes, lifting accessories, slings, shackles, hooks, and rigging tools are inspected and certified before use.
- Lead riggers, crane operators, and lifting crews for safe execution of daily lifting operations.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings before starting work activities.
- Verify load weight, crane capacity, lifting radius, and site conditions before lifting operations.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, Qatar Energy requirements, and oil & gas safety regulations.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and HSE personnel for smooth work execution.
- Review lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments before critical lifting activities.
- Monitor heavy and critical lifting operations to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Stop unsafe work practices and immediately report hazards, incidents, or near misses.
- Maintain proper communication between crane operators and rigging teams during lifting operations.
- Prepare daily reports, lifting records, and equipment inspection documentation.
- Train and guide junior riggers and lifting crew on safe lifting procedures and best practices.
- Ensure lifting activities are completed within project schedule and quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Lifting Foreman in Oil & Gas projects.
- Good knowledge of lifting operations, rigging procedures, and crane safety.
- Ability to read lifting plans and crane load charts.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Permit to Work (PTW) system and HSE procedures.
• H2S & Safety Training
- T-BOSIET (preferred for offshore projects)
Education
- Diploma / ITI / Technical qualification preferred.
- Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR3,500.00 per month
