Lifting Engineer(Construction)
About This Role
Key Accountabilities (includes, but is not limited to the following):
1) Ensure that any required approvals are obtained for lifting operations before the commencement of the lifts.
2) Ensure that a general lifting plan is in place for routine lifts and specific lifting plans for critical or complex lifts as per the DF lifting operations procedure and approved by ALEC's PTW.
3) Ensure that the risk control measures of a suitable approved MSRA are in place and have been communicated to the workplace before the commencement of any lifting operation under your supervision.
4) Ensure that all cranes being used for operations under your supervision are 3rd party certified as fit for use.
5) Ensure that all crane operators, riggers, slingers, etc involved in the lifting operation are 3rd party certified and competent to carry out their duties.
6) Ensure that the requirements of DF's EHSMS are implemented concerning lifting operations under your supervision.
7) Ensure that any permit conditions required for critical lifts under your supervision are implemented as required.
8) Ensure safe storage and handling of lifting tackles ready to use for the next operation or removal.
Certification: LEEA certified.
