Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lifting Appointed Person located in Qatar.
The Lifting Appointed Person will be responsible for planning, supervising, and overseeing all lifting operations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
This includes preparing lifting plans, ensuring equipment suitability, risk assessments, and monitoring operations to mitigate potential hazards.
Additional responsibilities involve training and coordinating with various teams and ensuring all lifting activities are executed safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in lift planning, risk assessment, and supervising lifting operations
- In-depth knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging, slinging practices, and crane operations
- Understanding of safety regulations, compliance codes, and environmental considerations for lifting
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Certifications such as Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) or relevant safety qualifications
- Prior experience in the construction or engineering industry is advantageous
- Proficiency in report writing and documenting operational activities is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in team environments on-site and meet project deadlines
