Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Lift Installation Technician role based in Dubai.
The Lift Installation Technician will be responsible for installing, assembling, and testing lift and elevator systems in accordance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
Daily tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, performing cabling and wiring work, aligning and securing mechanical components, and carrying out system checks and fault diagnostics.
The technician will coordinate with project supervisors and other trades on-site, document installation progress, and report any issues or delays.
The role also involves interacting with customers or building representatives, explaining basic system functions, and ensuring that installations are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong technical installation skills, including cabling, wiring, and basic electrical and mechanical knowledge relevant to lift/elevator systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, fault finding, and resolving technical issues during and after installation.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and professional on-site behavior.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and safety documentation.
- Previous experience in lift/elevator installation, maintenance, or a related field (mechanical, electrical, or HVAC) is preferred.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations for working at heights and on construction sites; commitment to safe work practices.
- Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent practical experience in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing project requirements.
