This opportunity is intended for experienced attorneys capable of handling corporate matters, contracts, commercial disputes, litigation, foreign investment, companies law, and labor regulations within Saudi Arabia.

This is not a traditional legal role. It is an advanced professional opportunity to join an legal entity during its expansion in the Saudi market, with a possible future path — not mandatory and not automatically guaranteed — to becoming a licensed partner in the firm, subject to competence, seriousness, performance, added value, regulatory requirements, and final agreement between the parties.

Role Overview

The firm is seeking a licensed attorney in Saudi Arabia to join its team in Riyadh and provide advanced legal services to local and foreign corporate clients.

The attorney will play a key role in legal advisory services, litigation, drafting legal memoranda, preparing statements of claim, reviewing and drafting contracts, handling corporate matters, and supporting clients in foreign investment, companies law, and labor-related matters.

This role requires genuine practical experience, professional independence, strong legal analysis, precise drafting, litigation skills, negotiation ability, client communication skills, and a strong understanding of the commercial sector.

Job Description

The licensed attorney will undertake advanced legal duties, including legal advisory, litigation, contract drafting, legal memoranda preparation, corporate file handling, and representing clients before judicial and quasi-judicial authorities within the Kingdom.

The role requires the ability to manage legal files from inception to closure, understand the regulatory and commercial aspects of each matter, and provide practical legal solutions that protect clients’ interests and support their commercial decisions.

Duties

and Responsibilities

Litigation and Advocacy

Represent clients before courts and judicial and quasi-judicial authorities within the Kingdom.

Prepare statements of claim, defense memoranda, appeal briefs, petitions, and judicial applications.

Study case files and analyze facts, documents, and evidence.

Develop appropriate legal strategies.

Attend court hearings and follow up on procedures and statutory deadlines.

Handle commercial, labor, administrative, and corporate cases.

Prepare periodic reports for clients regarding case updates and potential risks.

Corporate Legal Advisory

Provide legal advice to Saudi, Gulf, and foreign companies operating within the Kingdom.

Prepare written legal opinions on commercial, corporate, and labor matters.

Analyze regulations and bylaws relevant to clients’ businesses.

Provide practical legal solutions that help companies comply and reduce risks.

Support clients in legal decisions related to commercial activities.

Handle foreign investment files and competent authority requirements.

Contracts and Agreements

Draft and review commercial contracts of various types.

Prepare and review articles of association and partners’ and shareholders’ agreements.

Draft memoranda of understanding and non-disclosure agreements.

Review employment contracts, service agreements, construction contracts, supply contracts, and other commercial agreements.

Identify legal risks in contracts and propose appropriate amendments.

Participate in negotiations on contract and agreement terms.

Handle contracts and legal correspondence in Arabic and English.

Corporate Services and Compliance

Provide legal support in incorporating companies and legal entities within the Kingdom.

Handle governance matters and partners’ and shareholders’ resolutions.

Provide advice related to companies law and relevant commercial regulations.

Support clients in foreign investment matters and government authority requirements.

Contribute to mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring matters.

Handle liquidation, exit procedures, and partner disputes when required.

Follow up on companies’ regulatory compliance requirements.

Negotiation, Settlements, and File Management

Participate in legal and commercial negotiations.

Prepare amicable settlement solutions in commercial and labor disputes.

Draft settlement and release agreements.

Provide practical legal proposals to resolve disputes and reduce risks.

Represent clients’ interests in meetings and negotiations when required.

Maintain professional communication with clients.

Understand clients’ legal and commercial needs.

Manage legal files and organize documents.

Prepare clear reports on file status.

Work with the firm’s team to ensure accurate, prompt, and effective legal services.

Fully comply with professional confidentiality and legal ethics.

Basic Requirements

The applicant must meet the following requirements:

Licensed attorney in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Valid license, with at least 5 years since obtaining it.

Minimum of 5 years of practical legal experience.

Actual experience in litigation before courts and judicial and quasi-judicial authorities.

Strong experience in providing legal services to companies.

Clear experience in companies law and relevant commercial laws.

Practical experience in corporate and commercial cases.

Proven ability to prepare legal memoranda, statements of claim, and appeal briefs.

Proven ability to draft and review contracts and agreements.

Good knowledge of labor regulations, foreign investment, governance, and compliance.

Ability to handle and analyze complex legal files.

High commitment to professional confidentiality and legal ethics.

Ability to assume responsibility and work under pressure.

Readiness to participate in establishing and building a new law office in Riyadh.

Academic Qualifications

A master’s degree in law, regulations, Sharia, or any related legal field is required as a minimum.

Professional courses in companies, contracts, arbitration, foreign investment, governance, or compliance are considered an added advantage.

English

English proficiency at a minimum level of B1.
