Legal Counsel (UAEN)

Job Description

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance to management and internal stakeholders on corporate, commercial, employment, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage legal documents including contracts, agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, service agreements, and corporate documentation.
• Support the Compliance Department in ensuring adherence to UAE regulatory and legal requirements.
• Review internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks from a legal and compliance perspective.
• Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and government entities when required.
• Manage and support legal disputes, claims, litigation matters, and legal risk assessments.
• Ensure all legal documentation and company practices align with applicable UAE laws and regulations.
• Assist in regulatory submissions, legal filings, and licensing-related documentation where applicable.
• Provide legal support for business expansion initiatives, partnerships, and strategic projects.
• Monitor changes in UAE laws and regulations and advise management on potential business impacts.
• Maintain proper legal records, contract repositories, and governance documentation.
• Support internal investigations, audits, and compliance reviews when required.

Eligibility Criteria

• UAE National with valid Family Book (Mandatory).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant legal experience within Financial Services, Banking, Forex, FinTech, or corporate legal environments.
• Strong understanding of UAE commercial laws, labor laws, and regulatory frameworks.
