We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Legal Associate
to support the legal and compliance functions across a diverse group of companies.
The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding the organization's legal interests, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing contractual matters, and providing legal guidance to various business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance to group companies on a wide range of legal matters.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and assess contracts, agreements, transactions, and commercial arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Conduct periodic legal and compliance assessments across the business.
- Maintain and organize legal documentation, records, and files.
- Support management in litigation, dispute resolution, and legal proceedings when required.
- Oversee intellectual property matters, including trademarks and patents.
- Monitor legal risks and recommend practical solutions to mitigate exposure.
- Coordinate and manage employee insurance enrollments, renewals, and related records.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance-related queries.
- Assist with administrative and corporate governance matters as required.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
Experience & Skills
- Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law.
- Experience reviewing and drafting legal contracts and agreements.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and legal risk management.
- Familiarity with litigation processes and dispute resolution.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
