Job Overview

The Leasing Coordinator is responsible for attracting and securing new tenants for our residential and commercial properties.

This job is involved with managing leasing inquiries, conducting property tours, processing applications, and ensuring a smooth transition for tenants into their new space.

Respobsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to leasing inquiries from prospective tenants.
  • Schedule and conduct property tours, highlighting the features and benefits of the available units.
  • Address tenant questions, concerns, and objections, providing accurate and detailed information about the properties and lease terms.
  • Collect and review lease applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete.
  • Conduct background and credit checks on applicants, verifying rental history and references.
  • Collaborate with property team to make informed leasing decisions based on applicant qualifications.
  • Collaborate with prospective tenants to negotiate lease terms, rent rates, and move-in dates.
  • Prepare lease agreements and related documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review lease terms with tenants, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Coordinate move-in logistics, such as scheduling unit inspections, collecting security deposits, and arranging key handovers.
  • Conduct thorough move-in inspections, documenting the condition of the unit and ensuring any necessary repairs or maintenance are addressed.
  • Follow up with new tenants to ensure their transition is smooth and address any concerns or maintenance requests promptly.
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract prospective tenants.
  • Maintain up-to-date listings on various rental platforms, ensuring accurate and appealing property descriptions, photos, and rental rates.
  • Participate in outreach initiatives to foster relationships with local businesses, community organisations, and relocation services to generate leads and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate and organised tenant records, applications, and lease agreements.
  • Generate leasing reports, including occupancy rates, rental income, and leasing activities.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure timely collection and processing of rent payments and security deposits.
  • Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
  • Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in related role.
  • High school diploma.
