The Learning Diversity Leader guides inclusive practices at Queen of Peace Parish Primary School.
The role collaborates with teachers, education support staff, leadership, and external specialists to design and implement personalised adjustments and interventions for students with additional learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Guide neuro-affirming, evidence-based learning strategies, Personalised Learning Plans, and NCCD funding processes.
- Build teacher and learning support officer capacity to adapt curriculum, implement accommodations and adjustments, and differentiate instruction.
- Build respectful relationships with families, allied health professionals, and external agencies to coordinate support.
- Oversee assessments, monitor student progress, evaluate support programs, and inform future interventions.
Qualifications and requirements
- Full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is required.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education are required.
- Commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic education is required.
- Strong communication, empathy, interpersonal skills, and collaborative leadership ability are sought.
- Specialised postgraduate training or extensive experience in Special Education or Learning Diversity is highly desirable.
