Role Description
The Writer role at Hill Path Capital is a full-time, on-site position based in Philadelphia, PA.
The Writer will craft clear, accurate, and compelling written materials, including internal reports, investment summaries, presentations, memos, website copy, and thought-leadership pieces.
Day-to-day responsibilities include researching assigned topics, interviewing internal stakeholders to gather information, drafting and editing documents, and tailoring content for different audiences, such as investors, partners, and internal teams.
The Writer will ensure consistency of tone, style, and messaging across all materials, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
This role will collaborate closely with investment professionals, operations, and leadership to translate complex concepts into accessible, professional writing that aligns with the firm’s brand and communication goals.
Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured content for professional and financial audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in research-based writing, including gathering, synthesizing, and presenting complex information in an accessible format.
- Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, style, accuracy, and adherence to firm-specific guidelines and messaging standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and adapt quickly to shifting needs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Comfort working with confidential and sensitive information, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with common productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel or equivalents) to produce polished, client-ready documents.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in professional writing.
- Prior experience in financial services, consulting, or a similarly analytical, document-heavy environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interview subject-matter experts and incorporate feedback effectively.
