Role Description
This full-time remote Environmental Health Safety Specialist role is responsible for supporting and improving environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs across client organizations.
On a day-to-day basis, the specialist reviews policies and procedures, assesses workplace conditions, and identifies potential safety and compliance risks.
The role involves developing and updating EHS documentation, including risk assessments, incident reports, and corrective action plans, as well as tracking key safety metrics.
The specialist will design and deliver remote safety trainings, provide guidance on regulatory requirements, and collaborate with internal consultants and client stakeholders to implement best practices.
The position also includes monitoring changes in EHS regulations, recommending preventive measures, and supporting audits and inspections to help clients maintain safe, compliant, and inclusive work environments.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and standards.
- Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) program development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in Workplace Safety, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training, both virtually and in writing, tailored to diverse audiences.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Familiarity with affirmative action, EEO, or compliance-focused environments is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) are a plus.
