Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai for a Lead Technical Designer / Senior BIM Coordinator.
The role involves leading the technical design development of architecture projects, coordinating BIM models across disciplines, and ensuring design intent is accurately translated into detailed documentation.
Daily tasks include setting up and managing BIM standards and workflows, reviewing and integrating architectural, structural, and MEP models, and resolving technical clashes and coordination issues.
The Lead Technical Designer / Senior BIM Coordinator will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants, prepare and review construction documents, and support teams with modeling best practices and quality control.
The role also includes mentoring junior team members, contributing to process improvements, and supporting project delivery timelines and technical compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Design skills, with proven experience in detailed architectural design and documentation.
- Solid foundation in Architecture, including understanding of building systems, codes, and coordination across disciplines.
- Relevant experience in Technical Design as it relates to pattern development and construction logic is a plus; knowledge of Garment Construction, Fitting, and Pattern Making is beneficial where applicable to specialized projects.
- Proficiency in BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and coordination workflows; experience with clash detection and model management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field; advanced certification in BIM is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and mentor junior team members.
- Experience working on complex or large-scale real estate projects, ideally in the Middle East, is preferred.
