Lead Specialist - Internal Audit

Job scope

Duties and responsibilities

• Review functional areas, internal processes and controls for accuracy and efficiency, and recommend actions to mitigate identified risks.
• Ensure implementation of group policies, procedures and applicable requirements; execute assignments under the approved yearly audit plan.
• Conduct audit fieldwork according to methodology and document it in the internal audit management system, such as TeamMate+.
• Conduct exit meetings to validate findings and draft reports with supported observations, risks, business impacts, root causes and practical recommendations.
• Obtain timely management responses with action plans, owners and implementation timelines.
• Provide independent advice on controls, risk mitigation, compliance and operational improvements; identify gaps and recommend improvements and cost savings.
• Document processes and prepare audit findings memoranda; enhance audit methodologies and supporting tools.
• Support special assignments, investigations, advisory reviews and management requests; maintain professional stakeholder relationships and support team goals.

Position requirements

• Hands-on experience conducting both financial and operational audits.
• Experience preparing and presenting audit reports in English.
• High integrity, objectivity and confidentiality; flexibility to travel.
• Corporate industry experience is mandatory.
• At least 5–7 years of relevant experience.

Education and certification

• Bachelor’s degree in audit, accounting or a related major.
• CIA, CPA, ACCA, CFE, DipIFR or an equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
