Role Overview
The Lead Specialist, Engineering and Virtualization, contributes to the organization's Data & AI strategy by providing resilient, scalable, and secure platform engineering and virtualization capabilities. This position is responsible for establishing the technical foundation necessary to support advanced analytics, artificial intelligence solutions, enterprise applications, and digital transformation initiatives. The role focuses on driving platform reliability, optimizing performance, and standardizing technology across the Data & AI ecosystem. By enhancing infrastructure capabilities and virtualization services, this role aims to improve operational efficiency, accelerate service delivery, mitigate technology risks, and strengthen the organization's capacity to scale emerging digital solutions. The Lead Specialist ensures platform environments remain secure, available, and aligned with business growth requirements through technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing virtualization and platform environments for business-critical applications and Data & AI services.
- Optimize platform capacity, availability, and performance to ensure reliable service delivery.
- Strengthen infrastructure resilience through proactive lifecycle management and continuous platform enhancement.
- Enable Data & AI workloads via robust platform architecture, virtualization technologies, and infrastructure services.
- Accelerate the deployment and integration of data platforms, analytics solutions, and AI capabilities.
- Ensure platform environments support evolving business and technology requirements.
- Improve service stability through effective monitoring, automation, and performance optimization.
- Reduce infrastructure complexity and operational inefficiencies through standardization and process improvement.
- Enhance operational responsiveness through effective incident resolution and root cause management.
- Maintain compliance with enterprise technology, cybersecurity, and infrastructure standards.
- Strengthen platform security by implementing appropriate controls, vulnerability mitigation, and access governance practices.
- Minimize operational and technology risks through proactive assessment and corrective action.
- Drive the adoption of emerging virtualization, cloud, and platform engineering technologies to improve organizational capability.
- Identify opportunities to automate infrastructure management and improve service delivery efficiency.
- Promote technical best practices and continuous improvement across the technology landscape.
- Build effective partnerships with technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure platform effectiveness.
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise on virtualization and platform engineering initiatives.
- Develop organizational capability through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in engineering and virtualization.

- Achieving high platform availability and service reliability across Data & AI environments.
- Demonstrating improved infrastructure utilization, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Reducing service disruptions through proactive monitoring, automation, and risk management.
