Architecture and technical leadership
- Lead and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation, configuration, customization, and technical development, especially for accounting.
- Translate requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable solutions, architecture, technical specifications, integration designs, and implementation plans.
- Evaluate platforms and technologies, identify risks and dependencies, set technical standards, direct developers, and review proposed solutions.
Business Central and delivery
- Translate accounting and other business requirements into Business Central configurations, workflows, extensions, integrations, and technical solutions.
- Coordinate testing, data migration, integrations, deployment, post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and system documentation.
- Lead Agile/Scrum delivery, plan sprints and priorities, create user stories and tasks, facilitate ceremonies, manage backlogs, and address blockers and delivery risks.
Stakeholders, cloud, AI, and integration
- Work with business leaders, stakeholders, project teams, developers, analysts, project managers, QA, IT, and external partners; communicate technical concepts and manage expectations.
- Design and support Azure and other Microsoft cloud solutions, application architecture, integrations, data services, migration, modernization, deployment, and scalability.
- Identify and support AI, Generative AI, and LLM solutions, including assistants, chatbots, workflows, and content tools; consider security, privacy, scalability, and responsible use.
- Design integrations between D365, Azure, internal applications, databases, APIs, and third-party platforms; oversee development, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Accounting experience and strong understanding of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, application implementation, solution architecture, technical project leadership, or a related technical field.
- Experience implementing and programming Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and working on enterprise application implementations.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum, sprint-based delivery, solution design, and architecture-level technical decisions.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or another cloud platform; application integrations, APIs, databases, and enterprise software systems.
- Experience with AI, Generative AI, or Large Language Models.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal English and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred skills
- Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 Business Central, Azure, Power Platform, or related Microsoft technologies are preferred.
- Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, D365 Guides, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and automated deployment is preferred.
- Experience with AI-powered business applications, workflow automation, and LLM or AI service integrations is preferred.
- Experience with programming languages such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java is preferred.
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases, distributed or international teams, and external technology vendors is preferred.
