About the role

• We’re hiring a Software Engineering Lead to take ownership of delivering software solutions end-to-end.
• This is not a pure management role and not a purely hands-on coding role.
• It sits in between, combining technical leadership, delivery ownership, and problem-solving in situations where requirements are often unclear or evolving.
• You’ll work on problems that don’t come with clean specifications.
• You’ll define solutions, not just implement them, and you’ll be expected to take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks.
• What you’ll do
• Turn ambiguous stakeholder needs into clear technical plans and deliverable scope.
• Own delivery end-to-end, including prioritization, sequencing, trade-offs, and release.
• Make and guide architecture decisions, including APIs, data flows, integrations, and system design.
• Step in when needed to debug, validate, or unblock critical technical issues.
• Work closely with data science and other teams to align solutions and constraints.
• Mentor engineers and guide them through complex or unfamiliar problems.
• Ensure what gets shipped is not just done, but correct, reliable, and maintainable.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience leading delivery of software projects end-to-end.
• Strong system thinking, including APIs, services, data flows, and integrations.
• Ability to work with unclear requirements and turn them into structured solutions.
• Experience with modern engineering practices such as Git, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring.
• Ability to work across different parts of the stack when needed.
• Proven ability to ramp up quickly in unfamiliar technologies and solve problems.
• Nice to have
• Experience working with data-heavy systems, ML/AI, or NLP.
• Startup or small-team experience.
• Experience mentoring or hiring engineers.
• Experience across cloud and/or on-prem environments.
