Lead Software Engineer
About This Role
We’re working with a well-backed fintech company in Abu Dhabi that’s scaling its engineering team and looking to hire a Lead Software Engineer (.Net) to play a key role in building and evolving their core platform.
This is a hands-on leadership position — ideal for someone who enjoys coding while also guiding a team and influencing technical direction.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on
- Designing and building scalable backend systems using .NET
- Driving best practices across architecture, performance, and security
- Collaborating closely with product and business teams
- Contributing to technical roadmap and long-term platform strategy
What they’re looking for:
- Strong experience with .NET / C# in production environments
- Previous experience in a lead or senior capacity
- Solid understanding of distributed systems / microservices
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS / Azure preferred)
- Background in fintech / payments / financial systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor others
