The Role

• Design plays a critical role in how customers experience Driva and how our teams operate internally.
• From our customer-facing platform and marketing experiences to internal tools and operational workflows, design has a direct impact on growth, efficiency, and trust.
• Reporting to the Head of Product, you'll be the most senior designer in the business, responsible for setting the standard for design at Driva and helping shape how design contributes to product, growth, and the broader business.
• One day you might be redesigning a key customer journey, the next shaping a new internal workflow, creating assets for a major campaign, or helping define how our design system evolves.
• This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys switching between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, and wants to have a visible impact across the entire business.
• What you'll be doing
• Own and elevate design across the business, spanning customer experiences, internal tools, growth initiatives, brand touchpoints, and new product opportunities
• Define and champion design principles, processes, and ways of working that help teams move faster and deliver better outcomes
• Design intuitive, high-quality experiences that make complex financial products feel simple and approachable
• Partner with both product teams and marketing to deliver across a wide range of touchpoints, from digital product experiences to physical and digital marketing assets
• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to define problems, run discovery, and identify the highest-impact opportunities
• Conduct customer research, usability testing, journey mapping, and competitive analysis to uncover insights and validate solutions
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, polished UI designs, and supporting assets that bring ideas to life
• Work closely with engineers throughout delivery to ensure a high standard of implementation and user experience
• Use data, customer feedback, and experimentation to continuously improve outcomes
• Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to accelerate research, ideation, prototyping, content creation, and design workflows, constantly looking for ways to increase both speed and quality
• What we're looking for
• We care more about how you think, solve problems, and adapt than whether you've worked in finance before.
• You'll need:
• 5+ years of product design experience designing digital products end-to-end
• Strong UX, interaction, and visual design skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates both strategic thinking and executional excellence
• A strong grasp of UX best practice, accessibility standards, and emerging design trends. You stay current and bring that knowledge into how you work.
• A strong, informed perspective on what good design looks like and how it gets done, and the ability to articulate that clearly so the team can rally around it
• A systems-thinking mindset - you can zoom out to understand the broader customer and business context while sweating the details that make experiences exceptional
• The ability to move comfortably between customer-facing experiences, internal tools, growth initiatives, and broader business challenges
• Strong research and discovery skills, with experience turning customer and business insights into impactful solutions
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skill - you can articulate design decisions clearly and bring stakeholders along on the journey
• Experience collaborating closely with engineers and understanding the realities of building user experiences
• Comfort using quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions and measure success
• A strong sense of ownership and bias for action - you don't wait to be told what to do, you identify opportunities and drive them forward
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI, with experience using AI-powered tools to improve your workflow, expand your capabilities, and deliver better outcomes faster
• A collaborative, low-ego approach - you care more about solving the right problem than owning the solution
• Experience mentoring designers or helping establish design practices
