AIA Orbis is building advanced AI-powered products with a strong focus on real-world business automation, intelligent systems, and applied AI solutions.
We are an early-stage startup accelerated through the NVIDIA Inception Program, and we are looking for a highly technical, execution-driven person who can grow into the role of CTO while actively building with the team.
This is not a corporate management role.
We need someone who can lead technically, write code, design architecture, work hands-on with AI systems, and help turn ambitious product ideas into scalable technology.
Role Overview
We are hiring a
Founding Cto And Lead Ai Engineer
to take ownership of our technical direction and work closely with our current development team.
The person will initially execute as a senior hands-on engineer while progressively taking responsibility for architecture, AI strategy, engineering quality, technical decision-making, and team leadership.
You will work with a young and capable team, including developers with experience in full-stack engineering, agentic AI, vector databases, clinical AI workflows, FastAPI, React, Docker, Qdrant, FHIR, cloud infrastructure, and AI tooling.
The current team also includes a developer with machine learning, DevOps, TensorFlow, PyTorch, robotics, Unity, Python, Java, and C++ experience.
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Own the technical architecture of AIA Orbis products.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable AI-first systems.
- Lead decisions around LLMs, AI agents, ML pipelines, vector databases, RAG systems, automation workflows, and backend infrastructure.
- Evaluate and implement modern AI frameworks, model providers, orchestration tools, and deployment strategies.
- Establish coding standards, architecture principles, documentation practices, and engineering workflows.
- Make practical build-vs-buy decisions based on startup speed, cost, and long-term scalability.
Hands-On Ai & Software Engineering
- Build and ship production-grade software with the team.
- Develop AI agents, LLM integrations, backend services, APIs, and intelligent workflows.
- Work with technologies such as Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, React, vector databases, Docker, cloud infrastructure, and modern AI SDKs.
- Prototype quickly, test aggressively, and turn working demos into reliable production systems.
- Debug complex technical issues across AI, backend, frontend, infrastructure, and data layers.
Team Execution & Delivery
- Lead the current development team in day-to-day execution.
- Review code, improve engineering quality, and ensure delivery discipline.
- Break product goals into clear technical tasks and execution plans.
- Identify blockers early and solve them directly.
- Help create a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and accountability.
Cto Track
- Grow into the company’s long-term CTO role.
- Define the technical roadmap together with the founder.
- Help evaluate future engineering hires.
- Represent the company technically in investor, partner, and customer conversations when needed.
- Build the foundation for a high-performance AI engineering organization.
Required Profile

- AI, LLMs, machine learning, AI agents, and modern software architecture

- Strong in modern backend development.
- Experienced with
- DevOps, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering, tool-calling, agentic workflows, and AI automation
- .
- Able to work hands-on across backend, AI infrastructure, and product engineering.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup with unclear requirements and high expectations.
- Highly self-motivated, intellectually curious, and execution-focused.
- Able to lead developers without needing a large corporate structure.
- Strong enough technically to challenge decisions and propose better solutions.
- Reliable, disciplined, and capable of owning outcomes without constant supervision.
Strong Plus
- Experience with FastAPI, React, TypeScript, Docker, Qdrant, PostgreSQL, Supabase, AWS, Cloudflare, or similar stacks.
- Experience building AI agents or production LLM applications.
- Experience with healthcare AI, workflow automation, clinical systems, FHIR/HL7, or regulated industries.
- Previous startup, founder, CTO, or technical lead experience.
- Open-source projects, technical writing, research, hackathons, or strong personal AI projects.
- Deep personal interest in AI beyond normal work experience.
