Work arrangement
- Hybrid working combines company offices, client sites, and home; the role cannot be performed from home 100% of the time.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver scalable, high-quality applications for critical business functions and client outcomes.
- Work with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and engineers to translate requirements into solutions.
- Design secure, resilient, maintainable applications and build integrations between services.
- Contribute to architecture and solution design for scalable, sustainable systems.
- Identify intelligent automation and AI-enabled improvements.
- Promote quality through peer review, testing, continuous improvement, and engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, document solutions, and support collaboration and learning across teams.
Required qualifications
- Enterprise-scale full-stack software delivery experience.
- Strong hands-on Java development and strong Python development experience.
- Experience designing distributed and microservices-based architectures.
- Knowledge of API design, systems integration, and event-driven patterns.
- Experience with responsive interfaces and frontend/backend integration.
- Relational database, data modelling, performance optimization, software design, concurrency, and tuning knowledge.
- Agile delivery experience and cross-functional collaboration.
- UK Broker Dealer and Capital Markets domain experience is essential.
- Analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
- Awareness of AI-assisted development and applying AI capabilities to improve delivery.
