LEAD GENERATION ENGINEER

Role purpose

Key accountabilities

• Develop product specifications for architects and construction companies using NBS Source.
• Specify standard security products, forced-entry and intruder-resistant gates and turnstiles, and HVM anti-terror products.
• Read drawings and incorporate British standards, paint specifications, operational requirements, control philosophies, and safety regulations into building technical specifications.
• Follow projects through planning and tendering to help retain the specification and secure contractor orders.
• Find new projects, contact prospects by phone, gather information, and offer quotations or drawings to potential customers.
• Track projects and inform the sales team of changes, contractor awards, and outstanding quotations.
• Sort and distribute external mail, answer calls, and liaise with departments to improve customer service and internal communications.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read engineering and architectural drawings and write technical specifications.
• Excellent English, including technical phone conversations; IELTS Level 6.5 and above is specified.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills are essential.

• Ability to review and prioritize project calls and keep concise conversation notes.
• Motivated, organized, adaptable, customer-focused, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Able to work under pressure and on own initiative, with strong written and verbal communication.

Hours

• Full-time, Monday to Friday; additional hours may be required to carry out the role.
