Position summary
- FMI is hiring an experienced Lead Fabricator for its head office location in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
- The position involves structural steel fabrication and plate assemblies.
Candidate qualifications
- Red Seal Fabricator (Fitter) qualification.
- Team leadership experience; one year is listed as required.
- The qualifications section states 5+ years in structural steel fabrication and plate assemblies, while the experience field lists five years as preferred.
- Must excel at understanding blueprints and routinely lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Counterbalanced forklift experience is an asset.
- FCAW, SMAW, or GMAW certifications are assets.
- Local candidates from Nanaimo or nearby are preferred.
