Role Description
We are looking for a full-time Lead Engineer specializing in Smart Home & AV Integration for an on-site role in Dubai.
The role involves designing, configuring, and installing advanced smart home systems, including audio-visual setups, lighting, and climate control solutions.
You will oversee the system integration process, troubleshoot technical issues, and lead a team of technicians to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard.
Collaboration with project managers, clients, and vendors is integral to the role to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
What you'll do
- Lead on-site installation and commissioning across residential and commercial projects
- Programme and configure Control4, KNX, and Lutron systems to spec
- Integrate networking, audio, video, lighting, shading, and security into unified control environments
- Manage and mentor junior technicians on site
- Liaise with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure delivery against scope
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in live environments
- Maintain documentation, as-builts, and handover packs to a high standard
- What we're looking for
- 5+ years' experience in AV / smart home integration, with at least 2 in a lead role
- Certified or expert-level proficiency in
Control4, KNX, and Lutron
- (Crestron a plus)
- Strong networking fundamentals (VLANs, managed switches, Wi-Fi design)
- Confident with rack design, cable management, and structured wiring standards
- Comfortable on high-pressure villa and commercial sites
- Clean communicator — written and verbal
- UAE driving licence preferred
