The Job
The Lead Engineer will lead design, engineering, integration, testing, commissioning, and site acceptance activities for power automation solutions.
The role includes communication point-to-point testing with electrical equipment using standard communication protocols.

Power Automation Delivery
- Lead design, engineering, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover for SAS, SCADA, control center, PMS, generator management, and load shedding systems.
- Engineer and integrate IEDs, RTUs, PLCs, protection relays, meters, gateways, HMIs, historians, alarms, sequence-of-events systems, interlocks, controls, redundancy, and time synchronization.
- Lead PMS and generator control functions, including synchronization, load sharing, black start, island and grid operation, and AGC interfaces.
- Design and validate UFLS, UVLS, priority-based, fast load shedding, and restoration schemes.
Networks, Protocols, and Cybersecurity
- Design and troubleshoot industrial communication and OT networks using TCP/IP, switching, routing, VLANs, PRP/HSR, gateways, firewalls, redundancy, and network diagnostics.
- Configure IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC DA/UA, and ICCP/TASE.2 protocols.
- Configure OT cybersecurity and IT infrastructure, including segmentation, RBAC, hardening, patching, secure remote access, Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and backup/recovery.
Testing and Leadership
- Lead FAT, SAT, point-to-point, integration, HIL/RTDS, and site commissioning tests, including failure scenarios, redundancy, generator trips, and load-shedding tests.
- Lead documentation, design reviews, project coordination, customer interface, troubleshooting, punch-point closure, and acceptance activities.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, customer training, and knowledge transfer while guiding junior engineers.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in power automation, SAS, SCADA, control-center systems, PMS, or electrical control and automation projects.
- Proven experience leading engineering, system integration, FAT/SAT, commissioning, customer demonstrations, and technical issue resolution.
Desired Skills
- Structured troubleshooting across electrical, automation, communication, network, and IT/OT layers.
- Ability to lead technical workstreams, guide engineers, make sound decisions, and drive actions to closure.
- Cybersecurity, networking, or project leadership certifications are desired.
