About the Role

Owns revenue cycle, patient access, and pharmacy workflows; leads release validation; and provides technical leadership to the application team.
Begins as an individual contributor with lead responsibilities and is expected to supervise two analysts as roles are established.
Host Governance and Change Control
- Represent the organization in host change control by preparing, submitting, and defending change requests.
- Use the host responsibility matrix and service level agreement to identify host and organizational responsibilities.
- Review upgrade content and release notes for operational impact; escalate performance concerns and scope disputes with supporting documentation.
- Manage the change request portfolio, including prioritization and status reporting to IT governance.
Application Ownership
- Own professional billing, claims, and revenue cycle workflow configuration with the billing department.
- Own registration, scheduling, and patient access workflows.
- Own ambulatory pharmacy workflows at both dispensing sites; support sliding fee scale configuration and eligibility capture.
- Partner with billing on data and workflow dependencies for 340B split billing.
Release Validation and Team Leadership
- Lead member-side testing and release readiness for every host upgrade; maintain test scripts, validation evidence, and regression coverage.
- Maintain the local build record and document the rationale behind configuration decisions.
- Coordinate interface testing with the Dental Analyst when dental integration is affected.
- Direct and mentor analysts, assign work, contribute to hiring and onboarding, and set standards for documentation, testing, and change requests.
- Balance service-line needs with team capacity and communicate priorities transparently.
Operational Coverage
- Coordinate planned and unplanned EHR downtime procedures across all sites and both pharmacies.
- Participate in business continuity planning and downtime testing.
- Serve as senior escalation for application issues raised through the service desk and participate in after-hours escalation for clinical application incidents.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of experience supporting or configuring an electronic health record.
- Demonstrated experience configuring revenue cycle, registration, or patient access applications.
- Experience representing organizational requirements to an external vendor, host, or governance body.
- Experience leading testing and validation across an upgrade or release cycle.
- Ability to direct or mentor analysts as a formal supervisor or technical lead.
- Bachelor's degree in health information management, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regular travel among three sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- EHR certification in ambulatory, revenue cycle, access, or pharmacy applications.
- Experience in a Community Connect member organization or comparable shared EHR arrangement.
- Experience with Epic, eClinicalWorks, or other EHR platforms.
- FQHC experience, including familiarity with sliding fee scale and 340B workflows.
- Prior supervisory experience.
