About This Role
Tips: Own the quality, schedule, and process compliance of all composite manufacturing activities. Supervise the composite team, manage molds and ovens, and ensure all parts are produced to ply-book instructions and DTI quality standards..
Responsibilities
▸ Lead daily composite production schedule — allocate technicians to layup rooms and ovens
▸ Ensure all composite parts are produced to approved ply books and work instructions
▸ Manage mold register, mold maintenance log, and release agent compliance
▸ Own oven cure cycle records, thermocouple calibration log, and cure data retention
▸ Perform first-piece inspection of new composite part types before releasing to production
▸ Train composite technicians in vacuum infusion, wet layup, and bonding techniques
▸ Investigate and disposition composite non-conformances; liaise with QA on MRB
▸ Maintain resin and material shelf-life control system and cold store log
Qualifications
Composite manufacturing qualification (City & Guilds, AEROFORM, or equiv.) · 8+ years composite shop experience · Team leader / supervisory experience
