Role overview

AI architecture and agent engineering

• Design secure, scalable, multi-tenant AI systems and own architecture from technical design and model selection through deployment and optimisation.
• Develop production AI services, backend APIs, integrations, and reusable components for products and customers.
• Build agents with reasoning, tool calling, API execution, and multi-step workflow automation.
• Design orchestration, memory, context management, state persistence, human approvals, and escalation workflows.
• Integrate agents with CRM, ERP, booking, payment, ticketing, and enterprise APIs; support multilingual web, mobile, WhatsApp, voice, and kiosk experiences.

Models, RAG, and cloud security

• Evaluate commercial models and deploy or customise open-source models; apply fine-tuning where appropriate and optimise performance, latency, GPU use, and inference cost.
• Architect RAG systems using structured and unstructured data, embeddings, vector databases, hybrid search, reranking, and secure tenant-isolated knowledge bases.
• Develop document processing for OCR, PDF extraction, semantic search, tender analysis, requirement extraction, and proposal generation.
• Design and deploy AI infrastructure primarily on AWS, including cloud networking, identity, encryption, access controls, monitoring, and infrastructure as code.
• Apply safeguards against prompt injection, data leakage, and unauthorised tool execution; address data isolation, residency, retention, privacy, backup, and availability.

Quality, delivery, and leadership

• Build automated AI evaluation, observability, tracing, monitoring, and testing; optimise token use, model routing, latency, and cloud costs.
• Implement fallback, error recovery, and human-in-the-loop safeguards and troubleshoot production systems.
• Translate business requirements, government tenders, and innovation challenges into solutions; support feasibility studies, proofs of concept, estimates, and technical proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, engineers, and QA teams; review code, guide implementation, mentor engineers, and present technical decisions.
• Own delivery from prototype to production.

Planned AI work

Required qualifications and experience

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong backend and system architecture skills.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying production AI/LLM applications.
• Strong Python proficiency, including frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent agent orchestration; practical experience with RAG, vector databases, and enterprise API integrations.
• Experience deploying and customising open-source LLMs, with understanding of fine-tuning and inference optimisation.
• Strong understanding of AWS or Azure, cloud architecture and security, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Experience designing scalable, reliable, secure backend systems and understanding of AI evaluation, monitoring, cost optimisation, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to independently own architecture and implement critical components; strong English communication and remote collaboration skills.
• Demonstrable technical expertise and production experience are prioritised over certifications or academic qualifications.

Preferred experience

• Multilingual voice AI, streaming audio, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech experience is a plus.
• Computer vision, OCR, multimodal AI, GPU infrastructure, model quantisation, fine-tuning, or distillation experience is a plus.
• WebRTC, real-time video, AI avatars, or delivery of AI for government, airports, healthcare, or security-sensitive enterprises is a plus.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, AI, or cloud security certifications and experience mentoring engineers are advantageous.

• Pay starts at ₹30,000 per month.
