Lead Advanced Paramedic (EMS Team Leader – DCAS Licensed)

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide **Advanced Life Support (ALS)** care in emergency and non-emergency medical situations
• Supervise, mentor, and support EMS personnel to maintain high clinical standards
• Ensure compliance with **DCAS regulations, policies, and international EMS best practices**
• Coordinate daily EMS operations, including **staff scheduling, shift coverage, and resource allocation**
• Maintain ambulance fleet readiness, medical equipment availability, and operational compliance
• Develop and implement **clinical protocols, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives**
• Conduct **training sessions, competency assessments, and performance evaluations** for EMS staff
• Prepare **operational reports, incident documentation, and quality improvement records**
• Support continuous improvement in **patient safety, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency**

Minimum Requirements

• **Bachelor’s Degree** in Paramedicine, Emergency Medical Services, or a related healthcare field
• **Valid DCAS Advanced Paramedic License** or eligibility to obtain one
• **Minimum 5 years of EMS experience**, including **at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role**
• Current certification in:
• **Basic Life Support (BLS)**
• **Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)**
• **Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)**
• **Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or ITLS**
• Strong **leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills**
• Excellent **communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities**

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous **EMS leadership or management experience**
• Strong knowledge of **EMS regulations, operational procedures, and compliance standards**
• Experience managing **high-pressure emergency response environments**
• Skills in **strategic planning, operational management, and clinical governance**
