Role overview

Laundry operations

• Operate and monitor washing, dry-cleaning, and drying machines; add chemicals and clean lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide whether they need repair, spot treatment, rewashing, or disposal.
• Inspect cleaned articles and place them in clean linen carts.
• Set dryer times and temperatures based on the fabrics in each load.
• Clean dryer screens, dry-cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Fold articles by hand or machine to designated sizes and maintain accurate laundry records.

Standards and teamwork

• Follow company safety, security, and other policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets, and keep proprietary information confidential.
• Work positively with colleagues, support shared goals, and uphold quality expectations.
• Identify and recommend ways to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, or cost savings; visually inspect equipment for defects.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Qualifications

• No related work experience is specified as needed.
• No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, supervisory experience, license, or certification is specified as needed.

Physical demands

• The work involves extended standing, sitting, or walking; moving through confined, elevated, sloped, uneven, or slippery spaces and using stairs or service ramps.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, pull, and stoop.
