About This Role
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced **Lathe Operator** to join our metal fabrication and machining team.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience operating conventional and/or CNC lathe machines, with strong knowledge of metal cutting, machining techniques, and engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate lathe machines for machining metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements accurately.
- Perform cutting, drilling, threading, shaping, and finishing of metal parts.
- Set up machines, tools, and materials before operation.
- Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure proper machine operation.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
- Coordinate with fabrication and production teams to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Lathe Operator in metal fabrication or machining workshops.
- Ability to operate conventional lathe machines; CNC experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
