About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- **Setup and Operation:** Set up, adjust, and operate manual or CNC lathe machines to perform tasks like turning, boring, facing, threading, and drilling.
- **Blueprint Interpretation:** Read and interpret technical drawings, blue prints, and engineering specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- **Quality Control:** Inspect finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges to ensure compliance with specifications.
- **Tooling and Materials:** Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds; secure workpieces in the lathe.
- **Maintenance:** Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- **Troubleshooting:** Monitor machine performance during operation, making necessary adjustments to resolve issues. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Job Requirements
- **Experience:** Proven experience as a Lathe Operator (often 2–5 years required).
- **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in operating CNC or Manual lathes and understanding machine shop protocols.
- **Math Skills:** Basic mathematical skills for calculating dimensions and reading blueprints.
- **Safety Focus:** Strict adherence to safety procedures (PPE, machine guarding).
- Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
