About This Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate manual or CNC lathe machines to perform tasks like turning, boring, facing, threading, and drilling.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blue prints, and engineering specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Tooling and Materials: Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds; secure workpieces in the lathe.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Monitor machine performance during operation, making necessary adjustments to resolve issues. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Lathe Operator (often 2–5 years required).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating CNC or Manual lathes and understanding machine shop protocols.
  • Math Skills: Basic mathematical skills for calculating dimensions and reading blueprints.
  • Safety Focus: Strict adherence to safety procedures (PPE, machine guarding).

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
