Land Surveyor

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Perform land and field surveys and geodetic calculations; coordinate with clients and contractors to verify survey requirements.
• Complete survey work on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets; check setting-out, levels, and service locations and protect services.
• Prepare field sketches and maintain field books, sketches, and calculations; measure work when required.
• Follow site safety procedures and participate in site health and safety matters as directed by project leadership.
• Assist with as-built drawings and carry out other associated responsibilities as appropriate.

Required qualifications and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 8 years of land surveying and setting-out experience, including structural inspection and setting-out on roads, infrastructure, and bridges projects.
• Knowledge of or experience using CAD and survey software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Desired skills

• Working knowledge of construction sequences and industry standard work procedures is preferred.
• Abu Dhabi Authority approvals are preferred; commitment to safe work practices is desired.
