Role Overview
The employer is seeking a barista with specialty coffee experience to join its Abu Dhabi café team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare specialty coffee, including espresso-based beverages and manual brewing methods.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
- Ensure consistency in coffee quality, taste, presentation, and serving standards.
- Provide excellent and friendly customer service.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Maintain coffee bar and equipment cleanliness and hygiene.
- Follow food safety and workplace hygiene standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Maintain stock of coffee, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies.
- Work efficiently as part of a team during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista, preferably in a specialty coffee shop.
- Good knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee brewing techniques.
- Good customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, positive, and well-presented manner.
- UAE experience is an advantage.
- Specialty coffee training or certification is a plus.
