Laborer I

POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY

LOCATION

• This position is based in Lake Charles, LA.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and prepare construction project site by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Lubricate and clean machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Load or unload materials to be used during construction.
• Erect and disassemble temporary structures.
• Dig trenches, backfill holes, or compact earth to prepare for construction.
• Operate power tools and hand tools.
• Assist skilled trades, such as electricians and carpenters, with their duties.
• Perform all tasks efficiently and safely.
• Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The Laborer I position is an entry level role that requires working knowledge, skills, and abilities as they relate to the position. One (1)+ years of construction labor/helper experience is preferred.
