Tool and Space Maintenance (50%)
Maintain tools, equipment, and general shop cleanliness
Support inventory management and upkeep
Fabrication Help (30%)
Assist students with fabrication processes and troubleshooting
Review and verify digital file submissions for CNC machines, laser cutters, and 3D printers
Administrative Tasks (20%)
Enforce lab safety protocols and shop rules
Provide guidance to ensure safe and respectful shop use
Required
Ability to lift ~30–40 lbs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional demeanor and reliability
Preferred Skills
- Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino) proficiency
- CNC routing and general digital fabrication experience
- 3D printing and laser cutting experience
- Carpentry skills, especially with power tools (e.g., saws, sanders)
