About the Role
We are looking for a motivated
Level 1 Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst
to join our growing cybersecurity team in Dubai.
As the first line of defense, you will monitor, detect, and respond to security events around the clock, helping to protect our organization and clients from evolving cyber threats.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career security professional to build hands-on experience in a fast-paced, real-world SOC environment, with clear pathways for growth into L2 and specialized security roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real time using SIEM and other security tools
- Perform initial triage, analysis, and classification of security incidents
- Escalate confirmed or suspicious incidents to L2/L3 analysts following established procedures
- Investigate alerts related to malware, phishing, unauthorized access, and other threats
- Document incidents, actions taken, and findings accurately in the ticketing system
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and playbooks for incident response
- Maintain situational awareness of the current threat landscape
- Support shift handovers and produce clear reports for management and stakeholders
- Work collaboratively within a 24/7 rotating shift environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum 1 year of experiance working in the same domain
- Foundational understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Familiarity with security concepts such as the CIA triad, common attack vectors, and the cyber kill chain
- Basic hands-on exposure to SIEM tools, XDR, Firewall, DLP
- Understanding of operating systems (Windows and Linux) and log analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability and willingness to work in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, or equivalent
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Prior internship or experience in a SOC or IT security environment
