Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Kurdish Interpreter.
The Kurdish Interpreter will provide real-time interpretation between Kurdish and English (and/or other relevant languages) during phone and virtual calls for clients in various sectors, including medical, legal, and business.
Daily tasks include listening carefully to speakers, conveying messages accurately and neutrally, and maintaining confidentiality and cultural sensitivity at all times.
The interpreter will manage scheduled and on-demand calls, document basic session information as required, and follow client-specific protocols.
The role also involves participating in periodic trainings, quality reviews, and performance feedback sessions to maintain high interpretation standards.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Kurdish and English, with the ability to interpret accurately and fluently in both directions.
- Proven experience in interpretation (phone, video, or in-person), ideally in medical, legal, or customer service environments.
- Excellent active listening, note-taking, and memory skills to handle fast-paced conversations.
- High level of professionalism, cultural competence, and commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Comfort using remote communication tools, stable internet connection, and a quiet, secure workspace suitable for remote interpreting.
- Strong verbal communication skills, clear diction, and the ability to remain calm and impartial in sensitive situations.
- Reliable time management and organizational skills to handle scheduled shifts and call volumes in a full-time remote setting.
- Previous experience with virtual call centers or multilingual support is a plus.
- Relevant training or certification in interpretation or linguistics is an advantage.
