: - Kong Administrator & Developer

Job location

Job Roles & Responsibilities: -

  • Design, develop, and configure Kong entities (services, routes, plugins, caching, API management).
  • Create and customize Kong plugins; implement request/response transformations.
  • Develop custom Lua scripts for extended functionality.
  • Integrate Kong with APIs, backend systems, and DevOps pipelines.
  • Manage API security ? authentication, authorization, rate limiting, RBAC.
  • Implement traffic management (load balancing, caching).
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Kong performance issues.
  • Maintain API documentation via Kong Developer Portal.
  • Stay updated on new Kong features and best practices.

Job Skills & Requirements: -

  • Strong experience in
  • Kong administration and development

  • Solid understanding of

API design (REST, OpenAPI)

  • and
  • microservices architecture

  • Proficient in

Lua

and

Python

  • scripting.
  • Knowledge of
  • DevOps tools
  • (Git, CI/CD).
  • Experience with

Kubernetes

Kong Ingress

  • cloud platforms
  • (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with
  • API security

(OAuth, OIDC, Auth0) and

  • testing tools
  • (Postman, JMeter, Insomnia).
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field.
