Are you ready to roll up your sleeves?

We’re looking for a Kitchen Steward who values the details, who’s passionate about cleanliness and efficiency as they are about food.

This is a part time position.

Your day to day

Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment

Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators

Receiving and organising deliveries to the kitchen

Supporting the chefs and other colleagues in basic food preparation, cutting, peeling, and washing

Removing kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes

What we need from you

Hospitality kitchen experience is desirable but not essential

It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so attention to safe manual handling is a must; including occasional lifting/push/pull of heavy items and you may need to bend and kneel to complete some activities

High standard of cleanliness and safety at work

Good reading, writing and basic maths

Must hold a Food Safety Certificate

The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons, weekends and public holidays

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and provide outstanding service

Display a commitment to our guests by consistently maintaining a high level of quality at all times
