A Kitchen Helper supports chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a hygienic, organized kitchen.
The role supports efficient kitchen operations and compliance with food-safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment; clean and sanitize surfaces, floors, and work areas.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food-safety standards; store food properly and check stock levels.
- Receive and organize kitchen supplies and deliveries, and dispose of kitchen waste properly.
- Assist with cooking and food plating when required; follow instructions from chefs and supervisors.
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Physically able to stand for long periods.
- Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but is not always required.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 1,600–2,100 per month.
