Tromsø Café is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking **Kitchen Assistant** to join our team in Al Hamama, Doha.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced food service environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and teamwork.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team with food preparation, organization, and cleanliness to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in basic food preparation, including cutting, portioning, and assembling menu items
- Support chefs and cooks during busy service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and storage areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as required
- Ensure proper storage of food items according to safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations in compliance with Qatar standards
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Support opening and closing kitchen procedures
Qualifications And Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment
- Professional attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic English communication skills required
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Must be legally eligible to work in Qatar
