The World Famous White Cross is the only traditional pub on the Richmond Riverfront. The menu serves high-quality, freshly made food with the best British seasonal ingredients. The White Cross has long been a part of life on the River Thames and is situated in an exceptionally beautiful part of the Thames. Be it relaxing inside on a cold winter's day or soaking up the sun in the garden, it is the best place along the river to enjoy the wonderful view. It is also one of the only remaining pubs where you can still enjoy the high tide coming to you. The Thames in Richmond is tidal and several days a month the tide is high enough to come into the garden. If it is exceptionally high then enjoy the feeling of being marooned in a pub with a pint of beer or a glass of wine as nature won't allow you to leave. What we look for in a Kitchen Assistant;
- We are looking for an existing Kitchen Assistant or an individual looking for their next step to their hospitality career, who considers themselves to have a passion to work within a reliable team that delivers high quality standards. We need hard-working and dedicated people behind the scenes to help our restaurants run smoothly and to ensure that they are always clean and tidy. As the successful Kitchen Porter you will:
- Be an active hands-on person with a passion to work hard as part of a team
- Have high standards and a great work ethic
- You will show willingness to learn new skills, be an active team player with excellent communication skills
- Be working alongside your kitchen team and will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to deliver top quality service
- Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills to complete day to day tasks
