GEMS American Academy Qatar in Doha is recruiting a Kindergarten (Lower School) Teacher to start in November 2026.

The teacher will inspire interest in Kindergarten and Early Years learning and contribute to the wider school community.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the American curriculum and school expectations.
- Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom and differentiate instruction for varied learner needs.
- Plan, assess, and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching.
- Build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues; use technology to enhance learning.
- Contribute to curriculum and departmental development, collaborative practice, extracurricular activities, and school events.
- Promote student well-being, safeguarding, and positive behavior, and uphold school values.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor of Education, or a bachelor's degree in Early Years or Elementary education, with a state teaching license, PGCE, or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- At least two years of Kindergarten teaching experience at Elementary or Lower School level.
- American curriculum experience is of particular interest; candidates should understand its standards, methods, and assessment practices.
- Native or near-native English proficiency and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong subject knowledge, confidence using educational technology, and commitment to professional development and school community participation.

- Available to start in November 2026.
