Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Arabic Teacher role based in the Doha Metropolitan Area.
The Arabic Teacher will plan and deliver engaging Arabic language lessons aligned with the American curriculum and school standards for assigned grade levels.
Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and instructional materials, assessing student progress, and providing timely feedback to support language development.
The teacher will integrate elements of culture and, where appropriate, Islamic Studies to enrich language learning and promote respect for diverse backgrounds.
Additional duties include maintaining classroom discipline, communicating regularly with parents and guardians, contributing to department planning, participating in school events and professional development, and collaborating with colleagues to support student success.
Qualifications
- Strong Language Teaching and Teaching skills, with experience teaching Arabic to school-age learners.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning, including designing age-appropriate, standards-based learning activities and assessments.
- Knowledge of Islamic Studies and the ability to integrate relevant concepts respectfully when appropriate.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear classroom communication and constructive interaction with students, families, and colleagues.
- Fluency in Arabic (native or near-native) and strong command of English for instruction and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Education, or a related field; teaching certification or license is preferred.
- Experience in an international or American curriculum school environment is an advantage.
- Ability to use educational technology and digital resources to support teaching and learning.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills and a student-centered, inclusive approach to education.
