A well-known international school in Jeddah is looking for a qualified and dedicated Karate Instructor to join its team on a full-time, on-site basis.
The Karate Instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering structured karate classes for students, with a strong focus on discipline, respect, physical fitness, confidence, and personal development.
The role includes teaching karate techniques, leading warm-ups and drills, supervising practice sessions, and providing individual guidance to students of different skill levels.
The instructor will also prepare students for belt tests, demonstrations, and school-related activities while ensuring a safe, positive, and supportive training environment at all times.
In addition, the role involves maintaining attendance and progress records, communicating with parents or school staff when needed, and supporting the school’s wider educational and extracurricular objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured karate lessons for students.
- Teach and demonstrate karate techniques in a clear and safe manner.
- Lead warm-ups, drills, conditioning exercises, and practice sessions.
- Support students of different ages and skill levels.
- Promote discipline, respect, confidence, focus, and positive behavior.
- Prepare students for belt examinations, demonstrations, and school events.
- Ensure student safety and follow school policies and procedures.
- Monitor student progress and maintain attendance and performance records.
- Communicate professionally with school staff and parents when required.
- Create a motivating and respectful learning environment.
Requirements
- Strong technical background in Karate, preferably Shotokan Karate or a comparable style.
- Previous experience as a Karate Instructor or Martial Arts Coach.
- Experience teaching children and young learners is highly preferred.
- Relevant belt rank or certification from a recognized martial arts organization.
- Strong classroom or group management skills.
- Excellent communication and teaching abilities.
- Commitment to safety, discipline, and professional conduct.
- First aid or basic emergency response knowledge is an advantage.
- The ideal candidate should be professional, patient, disciplined, and passionate about helping students develop physically, mentally, and personally through martial arts.
