Role Purpose
Responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of the newly formed joint venture.
Ensures execution of shareholders’ joint exploration, resource definition, project development, and assessment through to mining strategy and operational mine site.
Drives value creation by ensuring safe business operations, efficient implementation, innovation, team development, adherence to timelines, and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the JV’s work program as committed to MIM.
- Develop and execute work programs aligned with project requirements and exploration results to meet timelines.
- Manage operational functions and ensure delivery of approved plans.
- Assess and optimize future mining projects.
- Ensure safe operations across exploration, project definition, construction, and mining activities.
- Manage costs within approved budgets.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to shareholders and MIM.
- Maintain strong governance standards, including procurement compliance.
- Lead and develop high-performing leadership teams and promote a strong safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including mining license applications.
- Represent both shareholders’ interests within the joint venture.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Mineral Processing, or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Health & Safety certification is desirable
- Valid driving licence in KSA or convertible to KSA licence
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the mining industry, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles
- Proven track record in managing advanced exploration projects and delivering feasibility studies
- Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and transitioning projects from exploration to development and operations
- Experience in establishing new projects, including policy development, training, and HSE procedures
- Strong understanding of structurally controlled gold deposits, open pit mining, and precious metal processing
- Culturally adept and delivery-focused
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills
Work Schedule
This role operates on a FIFO roster in a remote operational location, following a 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation schedule.
