Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Junior WordPress Developer role based in Pune City.
The Junior WordPress Developer will assist in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites and web applications.
Daily tasks include implementing front-end designs, configuring themes and plugins, and ensuring responsive layouts across devices and browsers.
The role also involves collaborating with designers and senior developers, troubleshooting technical issues, performing basic back-end configurations, and participating in code reviews.
The developer will help optimize site performance, support content updates, and follow best practices for security, accessibility, and user experience.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Web Development with hands-on experience in WordPress site setup, configuration, and maintenance.
- Front-End Development skills, including HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript, to implement and refine user interfaces.
- Responsive Web Design and Web Design abilities to ensure visually consistent, mobile-friendly layouts across devices.
- Basic Back-End Web Development skills for WordPress (e.g., understanding of PHP, databases, and CMS architecture).
- Familiarity with version control tools (such as Git) and basic debugging techniques.
- Ability to follow coding standards, document work clearly, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Good problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
- Relevant coursework, certification, or a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent practical experience is also valued.
