Role Overview
The Junior Structural Engineer will support the design, analysis, and execution of structural systems for digital and static signage projects.
The role coordinates structural requirements across design, production, fabrication, and project teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with structural design and analysis for signboards, pylons, gantries, rooftop signs, and supporting steel structures.
- Prepare calculations, design drawings, technical documentation, bills of quantities, and material specifications.
- Perform dead-load, wind-load, and other applicable design calculations.
- Design and review steel members, connections, base plates, anchor bolts, and foundations.
- Review shop and fabrication drawings for structural accuracy.
- Conduct site visits, measurements, and inspections when required.
- Provide technical support during fabrication and installation.
- Ensure compliance with structural codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Maintain records of calculations, drawings, revisions, and approvals.
Qualification and Experience
- B.Tech or B.E. in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates with strong structural engineering knowledge may also be considered.
- Exposure to signage structures, steel structures, fabrication, or similar engineering projects is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Good understanding of structural engineering fundamentals and steel structure design.
- Knowledge of wind-load calculations and structural stability.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or equivalent software.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and willingness to visit project sites.
