Junior Structural Engineer supporting design, analysis, and execution of structural systems for signage projects in Kochi, Kerala.
The role coordinates with design, production, and project teams to help ensure signage structures are safe, practical, and compliant with applicable engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with structural design and analysis of signboards, pylons, gantries, rooftop signs, and supporting steel structures.
- Prepare calculations, design drawings, and technical documentation; calculate dead loads, wind loads, and other applicable loads.
- Design and review steel members, connections, base plates, anchor bolts, and foundations.
- Coordinate with design, production, fabrication, and project teams; review shop and fabrication drawings for structural accuracy.
- Assist with bills of quantities and material specifications; conduct site visits, measurements, and inspections when required.
- Provide technical support during fabrication and installation and ensure designs meet relevant codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Maintain records of calculations, drawings, revisions, and approvals.
Qualifications and experience
- B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates with strong structural engineering knowledge may be considered.
- Good understanding of structural engineering fundamentals, steel structure design, wind-load calculations, and structural stability.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of STAAD.Pro, IDEA STATICA, or PROKON; basic MS Excel and Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings; strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Signage structures, steel structures, fabrication, or similar project exposure is preferred.
- Willingness to visit project sites as required.

- Structural engineering, steel design, structural analysis, and load calculations.
- AutoCAD and structural analysis/design software such as STAAD.Pro, IDEA STATICA, or PROKON.
- Drawing interpretation and multidisciplinary project coordination.

- Work location is in person in Kochi, Kerala.
